Illusion,' is an extraordinary art work, released by Indian,
Gibraltarian born artist Maya Tarachand. It is a blend of engravings and novel
written freely and spontaneously. All pages lead you into a world of metaphysics
and poetry.
Her etchings are breathtaking, her writing delightful! A
remarkable book.
Maya, from Indian origin and British nationality, born
and brought up in Gibraltar, leaves her native town at the age of 19, and flies
over to Morocco.
After having been thoroughly impregnated with the
beauty of this country she continues on her endless journey.
She settles
in Brussels and finally finds what she is looking for. ART, for her becomes
imperative; engraving ceramics, sculpture, painting and writing.
She
goes from one workshop to another learn
different techniques.
