Opening 'A Whole Variety' at LWM18, 25 May 2018 at 6 pm

You are cordially invited to the preview of A Whole Variety on Thursday 25 May 2018 in LWM18 at 6 pm.

LWM18 is a temporary art space organized by Yannick Ganseman, Aleksei Kazantsev and Joris Vanpoucke for the Antwerp Art Weekend, from 25 through 27 May 2018.

 Located in a turn-of-the-century notary’s house in the historic centre of Antwerp, the space, featuring exclusive views of the cathedral ambulatory, is within walking distance of the art café Witzli-Poetzli.

  

A Whole Variety exhibits eleven different artists, from Antwerp and abroad:

 

Fia Cielen, Alexandra Chaushova,

Pieter De Clercq, Manu Engelen,

Yannick Ganseman, Carla Arocha & Stephane Schraenen,

Aleksei Kazantsev, Luc Tuymans,

Joris Vanpoucke and David Wauters

 

The artists were selected based on their intrinsic working methods and specific approach to their environment.

Every artist and discipline is contextualized by the domestic environment exuding from the former notary’s house.

The various rooms or spaces will host dialogues between different artists, arriving at intriguing interventions that fully live up to the authentic structure of the building.

 

Selected works and a map with multiples will be offered for sale.
